I just love these Japanese crafting books. What is about these books? I just
bought Handmade Cafe. I just wish I knew someone who knows Japanese. I would love to order some of the kits from Fellissimo Couturier. They are a mail order company for craft kits. They have really neat things. I
have some books on making scrubbers, clothes, etc.
I am waiting on my pattern paper from Nancy's Notions. You can see through it and trace patterns, which will work wonderful for some of the patterns in the Japanese books. That way I do not have to cut out the big patterns. Also, you can tell the measurements for some things in the books, so it would be easy to come up with my own patterns. I have a couple of the Cotton Time Magazines and they are fabulous as well. How is it the Japanese have been able to capture
western culture so well. I read somewhere they have just taken Western Culture and not "cleaned" it up. Left things a little folksy. Now let me tell you following Amazon.com japan is an interesting experience. I do not have Japanese fonts loaded. Must do that. One of my co workers suggested I take my magazines to a Japanese Anime store here in Tulsa. I bet there would be someone in there that knows Japanese. Anyone have any suggestions?
Here is the magic scrubber book I have -- Magic Scrubbers Part 7. Now if I could only find the perfect man to marry that would let me stay home and raise Emma (ummm, and craft while she is
at school. I have not been lucky enough to find one of those : ) I would love to stay home and do more sewing/crocheting and designing. Lord knows I would be better at it than my job I have now. I have always been the original cut and paste kid : )
