We woke up to the most delicious snow I have ever seen. It was sunny, no wind, but still cold. But since it was sunny with no wind one could wear a t-shirt and a wool sweater with jeans and be just fine outside. You did have to wear a hat and mittens though. We measured the snow in the backyard and we had almost 12 inches. Up by Kansas border they had 2 feet! WOW!!! We set a record for November. The previous one for November was held from 1972 when we had 5.6 inches fall. Now that is impressive.
We ate and then got everyone dressed and met up with the kids in the neighborhood.
I was totally surprised by my father, he found my Flexible Flyer III! It was my sled from when I was about 6 or 7. It is in impeccable condition.
Everything was just beautiful... even after that one kid had to take his sled and slide right into the creek! And yes, he is okay.
But we sure had a lot of snow. All had a good time today. We have some tired kiddos with rosie cheeks around the neighborhood tonight. All snug in their beds, good thing, because our low is supposed to be 8 degrees.. and yes we will be setting another record tonight with that low.
