Yes, we are still alive. There has just been A LOT going on around the household lately. Not all of it good, but not really bad. Just some issues with family/non family members. I wish I could just type it all out here, get all of my frustration out, get some feedback, but in the event they know I have this blog that would not be good. I am just going to say we are having issues with Em's paternal side of the family.
Anyway, the picture above is from the Sand Springs Herbal Affair we went to last weekend. It was perfect weather. Sun shining, not a cloud in the sky kind of beautiful. This thing has really grown over
the years. Of course when you go you have to eat the fair food. That is a must. So first stop was a corndog and cherry limeade. We then walked around, looked at all the plants and other treasures. Dog owners always bring their dogs with them.. and Emma, well she loves dogs. I think she just about pet all of them.. the Bull Mastifs, Bull Terriors, you name it, it was probably there. There was only one man with a dog that I could not identify that would not let Emma pet his dog. Emma is very good about asking before she pets a dog. She wants one so bad. We are on the waiting list for a female tri-color Welsh Pembroke Corgi. There are two females that are pregnant at the place we have put our name on the list. Now we just wait.
Anyways, the Herbal Affair has all kinds of stuff. They even have a kids tent, which we have to go to and it is quite neat anyways. Emma made a flower and got her hand
painted by a nice teenager. Wonder what they painted.... care to take a guess? Oh yeah, a horse, of course. The girl is pretty
talented because I was not sure there would be someone there that could paint a horse. I think it turned out really good.
After that we went by the Amish food area and bought chocolate chip cookies (oh wow, that reminds me, we still have some in the freezer.. HM chocolate chip cookies for breakfast) and my favorite coconut/pineapple pie. I LOVE that pie. It is the best! and the good part, only grown ups around here seem to like it : )
After the Herbal Affair we came and regrouped so that Emma could go to her soccer game. I will post about that tomorrow, as I have to get ready for work now.
I did get some lavender that I have to plant this weekend. I am going to clear out the spot for it, right by our patio. I cannot wait! I see sachets in our future !
