What a wonderful weekend. My cousin Warren came into town after going to Lance Armstrong's Reel Recovery in Colorado. Let me tell you, if you know of any men who have cancer, please look into this for them because my cousin really enjoyed it. He was diagnosed with cancer several years ago and we were really worried. Warren is one of those people that always looks at the sunny side of life, and let me tell you I think that is was a (lesson - do not type at 5:30 am) what attributed 50% of his recovery.
We all met at Tsunami Sushi at the Jenks riverwalk. The river, after all of our rain is way full. Normally you can walk across the thing because it is one big sandbar. I think it looks much better full! Actually
the picture to the left almost looks tropical, which really except for not being way hot, we are tropical now. We have had rain 26 out of the past 28 days. We have had 23 inches of rain in the past 3 months.
okay, back to our evening. My cousin Amanda was there. She is heading off to Plymouth State University in New Hampshire in the fall. How much fun is that? To be starting your college life in a New England state university. The rest of the gang at our soiree were Lynn, Amanda's mother, Beth (Lynn's sister), Cousin Jimmy and Karen, my parents, and Emma and me. Oh, and Amanda's boyfriend. It was great to get to see everyone and eat sushi. I even got Emma to eat Calamari. I did not think she would like it, but boy she gobbled it up. They had fried shrimp there, so she did find something to eat. We laughed, caught up on current events and old events alike, just had a wonderful time. I really wish Warren and his kids (they are grown ups now) lived closer. They are in Texas. I just love him to death, my favorite cousin, outside of his son Tommy, who has a lot of his personality in him!
We are just staying around here for the 4th. I spent almost $70 on fireworks, so everyone do a little "no rain" dance for us!
