Well, they said it reached 105 degrees today.. In southeast OK they received some rain and the high was in the mid 80's! NOT FAIR!! I am so ready for fall. I love fall. I want fall. I want cool crisp days, leaves that change to reds and oranges, pumpkins on the front porch, hay rides, cobblers, pots of chili, enjoying life on the back porch, sweaters, hoodies.... hot buttered rum.... I think everyone has an affinity towards a holiday/time of year, I wonder why we gravitate towards certain ones? I know mine is from growing up in Stillwater, OK, home of Ok State University. I remember Halloween on the campus, Homecoming.. going to the Homecoming Parade, walking around to see the Greek's House decks.
Family Fun always has great ideas for crafts. I do not think it helps that I watched Gilmore Girls and Three Moons over Milford. All these nice little New England towns. Gilmore Girls had the look of fall to it. Think I am going to have to come up with a design for a wonderful Fall purse -- I have plenty of wool yarn and yards of wool felt fabric.
Since it was so hot outside, we stayed in and I finished Em's peasant dress and my two dishclothes.
I could not get her to smile for me and you will have to pardon my messy living room : )
The price of craftiness I guess.
Well, best get little one to bed and the bills paid!
